IT Projects are specific pieces of work defined by a scope and requirements that can be completed in a finite timeframe.
Projects are assignments undertaken by Atlantech for you that fall outside your Maintenance or Support agreements.
Projects generally fall into the following categories.
1. Projects that institute managed change
2. Projects for Disaster Recovery and Repair
We treat software development projects separately.
Services
The types of Project services provided may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Disaster recovery
- Hardware repairs
- Software upgrades or changes
- Hardware upgrades
- Implementation of network infrastructure
- User training
- All Engineering services provided to you outside any Maintenance, Support and Software Services agreements.
Service Delivery
Projects that institute managed change
These projects can be subdivided into two distinct categories:
Projects identified and individually budgeted-for in advance of each financial year as part of the overall strategic development of your company' infrastructure and the Service Delivery Model.
Projects established in the course of the financial year to address emerging needs or to capitalise on new opportunities to improve services.
Disaster Recovery and Repair Projects
Projects involving disaster recovery and complex repairs require prompt action and are generally of a mission-critical, reactive and problem-solving nature. As such they may require rapid response, in contrast to scheduled implementation projects.
As a matter of best practice, redundancy and fail-over protection are incorporated in all mission-critical aspects of your IT Systems.
This position is further enhanced through proactive monitoring and regular exercises in risk management and disaster recovery planning.
